About
EGO Centrics? What’s that?
For year’s I’ve looked at strangers on the street and wished for the confidence to stop them and tell them how good they look.
EGO Centrics is the beginning of my journey to document the styles I love.
Where it all began, in three words: Montreal, Virgo, and JW Waterhouse.
My style icons: A$AP & Julia Fox
Dear Montreal
Opened my eyes to embrace creatively and inspired me to experiment with different styles.
Dear Earth Sign
My mom was a Kindergarten Teacher for the majority of her career, and her passion for nature deeply influenced me. She led the school’s Eco Club, studied forestry, and taught my sister and I the Latin names of the trees and flowers while we went on family walks. Long before the City of Toronto provided compost bins to residents, my dad built one for our family. Growing up with their environmentally conscious mindset made me more aware of the fashion industry’s impact on the planet, sparking my interest in sustainable fashion. Naturally, I wanted to follow in their footsteps
Dear Dad,
My dad introduced me to J.W. Waterhouse. We had a copy of a paperback. I remember scanning through the paintings and being completely transported to the medieval ages. I was transfixed on the beautiful dresses, the calmness of the colors and the storytelling. To this day, JW Waterhouse inspires my livelihood. I collect his prints, I b-line to his painting at the AGO. Thank you, Daddy, for introducing me to him.
GOAL
My goal is to inspire consumers to mix match, dig through your grandma’s closet and seek out those gorgeous gems. #PeopleOverProfit
J. W. Waterhouse
John William Waterhouse (1849–1917) was a distinguished English painter renowned for his romantic portrayals of mythological, literary, and historical subjects, often drawing inspiration from ancient tales and legends.
His work is celebrated for its vivid color palettes and intricate textural details, which bring his ethereal compositions to life.
Waterhouse’s fascination with beautiful heroines and the femme fatale, His canvases typically feature realistic and natural settings.
The beautiful heroines, medieval tales and gorgeous earthly scenery completing mesmerizes me.
